Floorpaws © is my decorative painting business. The name reflects my love of dogs, and the fact that they are often the subject of, or the inspiration for my work. Even floorcloths that seem to lack a canine theme may warrant a closer look! With degrees in Occupational Therapy and Interior Design, and a lifetime interest in arts and crafts, it was natural that I would be drawn to this functional art form! And, when not painting dogs, I love to create house portraits on floorcloths! But, the possibilities are without limit… Enjoy this section of my website! |

| As it is one of my earlier efforts (2004), I was pleased to see how well it has held up these past six years in front of the kitchen sink! It will now go on to it's new home, where it will remind the owner of the house she lived in for over 50 years! ::MFP:: April, 2010 |

Thanks to those of you who have recently asked what I have been up to! I have been spending much time at our North Carolina home, where I don't have much studio space for the larger floor cloths. I am still taking orders, and can turn out smaller items such as pet mats and table runners from here. Larger floor cloths can only be completed when I am in CT, so may take a couple of months to deliver. Please feel free to email me to discuss any projects! Meanwhile, I have expended my interests! Taking lots of classes, and got myself a 4-harness floor loom! Pictured are hand made coptic stitched books, on a hand woven scarf. I am working on a way to combine the bookmaking and the canvas work, too.
