Floorcloth Installation
Floorcloths should be placed on clean and flat surfaces... they should not be placed on top of a carpet. If the floorcloth has been rolled for shipping or storage, allow it to come to warm room temperature before attempting to unroll it.
If the floorcloth is in an area where slippage is a concern, a thin tightly woven rubber mat may be placed beneath it. Such a mat can also protect a floorcloth on a more textured surface (brick or tile) from assuming that pattern. An alternative to prevent tripping or slipping is to use mounting adhesive/putty, pressed under the edges of the hem.
Because of the layers of varnish, floorcloths are waterproof. However, they are not designed to sit in standing water. They do not belong outside unless in a protected area.
